GrandChef
Website and e-commerce for Grand Chef Evolution, a kitchen appliance: direct sales, recipes, videos and magazine. I look after it from the build to the server it runs on.
The project
Grand Chef Evolution sells directly from its own site: product page with offers, a custom checkout with PayPal, bank transfer, cash on delivery and financing, a user area, recipes and content for people who already have the product in their kitchen. Accessories live on a separate Shopify shop.
The designs come from the client, the rest is mine: building the site on JoeCMS, the server, new features and the tracking marketing needs.
What I do
Development
Checkout and order management with its own panel, a price list in the database that the tracking also reads from, promotional landing pages, recipes and editorial content.
Infrastructure
A dedicated server, deploys from git with a script that uploads only changed files, orders synced to Airtable through its API, purchases and refunds from the Shopify shop received by webhook.
Maintenance
Full GA4 e-commerce tracking, with the confirmed purchase sent from the server only once payment is verified, cookie consent handled server-side, ongoing fixes and changes.
How it evolved
The site has gone through several versions. The rebuild on JoeCMS started in 2025 and has been live since 2026: catalogue and content kept, checkout, user area and tracking redone.
The work now is on data: a single picture across site, shop and Airtable, to know where an order comes from and when it is actually paid.
